Campaigners challenge Metrolink boss to ride a bike up steps

Campaigners this morning challenged Metrolink chief Philip Purdy to push a pram and ride a bike up the steps in front of his office.
The stunt outside the Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Executive’s premises at Piccadilly Place, organised by Manchester Friends of the Earth, was intended to demonstrate to Purdy how inaccessible parts of the public transport network will become to parents, disabled people and cyclists.
